Question
as a sole proprietor of an llc, I was asked for a w-9 for my services. My question is-- can I use my EIN number on the w9 in place of my SSN? I have no employees but I'd like to limit the use of my SSN on forms that I'm sending to a client
AI accountant’s answer:

Absolutely, you can use your EIN on the W-9 form instead of your SSN. As a single-member LLC, you're allowed to use either your personal SSN or the EIN of your LLC. Using your EIN can indeed help limit the exposure of your personal SSN, which can be a smart move for privacy and security reasons. Just make sure the name you put on the W-9 matches the name associated with the EIN.

Not Correct.
