I love being able to help businesses grow and develop while taking bookkeeping off their plate. I would recommend that someone keep their W-2 to pay essential bills and cover startup costs, just until you're making more money from bookkeeping than you are at your 9-5. Practice all the time, keep your skills sharp, and be consistent in your marketing. I would change how hard it can be to find clients, if I could.
